RISK MANAGEMENT PROJECT MANAGER

Mediobanca is looking for a candidate for a position in its Project & Program management team.

Role Profile

Mediobanca Project & Program Management Office is in charge of the implementation of the Bank Project Portfolio, dealing with the Relevant Stakeholders: Sponsors, Cross Area Teams, Suppliers and Consultants.

The Project Manager is responsible to deliver the initiatives under his/her responsibility on time, on budget and with an excellent quality, abiding to the bank policies and internal/external best practices.

In an increasingly multidisciplinary and interconnected context, the Project Manager will focus on Group Risk Management projects, albeit keeping a 360° perspective, encompassing Data Management and Finance and Accounting departments, given the progressive convergence of metrics and approach promoted by the regulator.

Main Responsibilities

  • manage Group Risk Management projects, both regulatory and internally driven, to guarantee results on time and on budget through an effective project structure and governance
  • manage cross area and group projects to grant consistency of approach and results;
  • manage regulatory inspections in relation to the focus areas;
  • communicate constantly with the Sponsor, in order to collect and meet his/her requirements;
  • address promptly issues and mitigate risks, to prevent the disruption of project scope, costs or deadlines;
  • lead the cross area team on a daily basis and relate with the key actors involved (tasks allocation, prioritization, etc.) to ensure a successful delivery;
  • be the entry point for IT colleagues and advisors/software vendors, monitor their activities during the whole project lifecycle;
  • report status, progresses and risks in compliance with the project governance, in order to:
    • allow effective decision making by the designated committees;
    • communicate results, discuss potential changes (time, scope, cost, quality) and provide a synthetic, but sharp overview of the main issues or potential threats;
  • be a transformational leader, through cohesion and collaboration, but also a challenger of the project team and stakeholders, to ensure results in compliance with the Bank standards

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • have Master of Science in Management Engineering
  • have developed 6 to 8 year experience in project management in a Financial Institution or Advisory firm, with particular focus on credit risk management projects (AIRB, ICAAP, RAF, Stress Test, ecc.)
  • have strong organizational, time management, interpersonal skills and a strong attitude towards problem solving
  • possess an entrepreneurial attitude, drive, motivation and commitment
  • combine a result-driven mentality with the flexibility to deal with a continuously-changing environment
  • be a proactive actor to influence decisions and individuals
  • be fluent in English (both spoken and written)
  • be an effective oral and verbal communicator
  • have familiarity with office automation tools, especially Microsoft Office and MS project

CREDIT RISK METHODOLOGIES SENIOR ANALYST

The Credit Risk Methodologies team is the unit within Risk Management in charge to develop quantitative models for managing credit risk. Main activities of the team consist in:

  • Development and maintenance of the Bank’s AIRB models (PD , LGD, EAD);
  • Development and maintenance of credit portfolio models for the calculation of the Credit VaR;
  • Development and maintenance of the credit risk stress testing models;
  • Development and maintenance of models for impairment calculation within the IFRS9 framework.
Requirements Description:
  • Degree level within a Mathematical, Statistical or Analytical discipline;
  • Strong experience within risk methodologies and risk management techniques;
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework;
  • Proven knowledge of IRB model development techniques and methodologies, especially for low default portfolios;
  • Advanced knowledge of SAS;
  • Previous experience in stress testing and/or credit portfolio models and/or IFRS 9 modeling is a plus.

INTERNSHIP QUANTITATIVE FINANCE

The candidate will work in the Financial Engineering team. Working within a C++ framework, the candidate will focus his/her activities on the interest rates and credit asset classes. The role will expose the candidate to the entire life-cycle of delivering solutions for derivatives pricing and hedging.

Mediobanca is an Italian investment bank founded in 1946. Today, it is an international banking group with offices in London, Madrid, New York and Paris. The Financial Engineering team is a front office department based in Milan whose main activities focus on modeling and pricing complex financial products for the trading desks.

Due to Covid-19 emergency, the activity might be carried out remotely.

Requirements Description:
  • A college degree / master in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields is required.
  • Exposure to financial engineering issues is a plus.
  • Good communicative skills is a must.

Technical requirements:

  • Proficiency in C++ is a plus.

CORPORATE AFFAIRS - TEMPO DETERMINATO

Mediobanca è alla ricerca di una risorsa con qualche anno di esperienza da inserire a Tempo Determinato per sostituzione maternità nel team di Group Corporate Affairs.

La risorsa affiancherà il team nella gestione degli affari societari e si occuperà in particolare delle seguenti attività:

  • gestione e presidio degli adempimenti connessi all’operatività degli Organi Sociali, dei Comitati e delle Assemblee societarie verso gli Organi di Vigilanza (ad es. BCE e Bankit, CONSOB);
  • supporto alle attività e cura delle relazioni con l’Organo di Controllo e l’Organismo di Vigilanza;
  • consulenza alle unità organizzative e alle Società del Gruppo in ambito societario;
  • cura dell’istruttoria e del coordinamento dei profili societari di operazioni straordinarie del Gruppo;
Requirements Description:

Si ricerca una risorsa che abbia maturato almeno1/2 anni di esperienza nell’ambito degli Affari Societari.

E’ indispensabile un’ottima conoscenza della lingua inglese.

Completano il profilo adeguate capacità organizzative e di sintesi, ottime doti relazionali, proattività e propensione all’aggiornamento.

INTERNSHIP DEBT CAPITAL MARKETS

Il tirocinante andrà inserito nel team Debt Capital Markets e parteciperà nell’origination e nella strutturazione dei principali strumenti fixed-income per le Istituzioni Finanziarie e le aziende Corporate clienti della Banca.

Durante lo stage il tirocinante apprenderà le dinamiche dei mercati finanziari e dei principali prodotti emessi.
